Breakers Crash Against the Shores of Bethlehem

In a matchup of last season's finalists, the defending champion Bethlehem Beaz beat the Cape Cod Breakers 4 games to 3. The series was very exciting for the fans as two of the games went into extra innings.

Game 2: Cape Cod 4 - Bethlehem 0 - WP Santana - LP Halladay
Game 3: Bethlehem 2 - Cape Cod 4 - WP Escobar - LP Lowe
Game 4: Bethlehem 4 - Cape Cod 1 - WP Peavy - LP Hudson
Game 5: Bethlehem 6 - Cape Cod 7 (11 innings) - WP Springer - LP Okajima
Game 6: Cape Cod 0 - Bethlehem 12 - WP Johnson - LP Santana
Game 7: Cape Cod 5 - Bethlehem 11 - WP Peavy - LP Hudson

Series highlights included Miguel Cabrera batting .345 with 11 rbi, Jake Peavy with 2 wins and 27k in 22 innings, Jack Cust batting .250 with 5 HR and 12 rbi and Kelvim Escobar posting a sterling 1.59 era.

Lowlights included Tim Hudson posting an era of 9.33 on his way to a record of 0-2, league MVP Alex Rodriguez batting a dismal .179, Roy Halladay posting an era of 6.75 and Derek (hot pants) Jeter batting .257.
