Stars Shine in Game 5

The Northwest Stars managed what no team has done so far in this World Series. They managed to win a home game. The Stars pummelled the Beaz by a final score of 12-5 in the pivotal game 5 to take a commanding 3 games to 2 lead in the best of 7 series. The winning pitcher was former Beaz J Speier and the losing pitcher was Roy Halladay. Halladay was pummelled by the potent Stars offense again giving up 8 runs in 5-1/3 innings. Light hitting Y Betancourt was the offensive hero for the Stars going 4-4 with 4 runs scored and 1 rbi. Bethlehem manager Burns lamented after the game that "he was a one man wrecking crew". David Ortiz went 5-5 in a losing effort. The series now moves back to the east coast where the Beaz will try to extend the season and the Stars will try to slam the door.
